Every day balances walking and reflection. The precise mountain route and camp locations may be adjusted for weather, conditions and local arrangements.
Day 1 · Leaving the Familiar Behind
Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Saghro Mountains
After breakfast, depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, continue through Ouarzazate and the Dadès Valley, then reach Tagdilt at the foot of the Saghro. Settle into a locally owned guesthouse for gentle yoga or meditation and a traditional dinner.
Sustainable experience: Support locally owned accommodation and enjoy locally sourced food where available.
Overnight: Local guesthouse in Tagdilt.
Day 2 · Finding Your Rhythm
Tagdilt to the Mountain Camps
Begin with gentle yoga, breathing and meditation. After breakfast, meet your local mountain guide and muleteer team. Trek across open plateaus and rugged volcanic terrain, pausing for a freshly prepared lunch. Continue to camp, reflect quietly and share dinner.
Sustainable experience: Employ local guides and muleteers, respect grazing areas and minimise trail waste.
Overnight: Mountain camp.
Day 3 · Mindfulness in Motion
Across the Saghro Plateaus
After meditation or gentle stretching, walk over mountain passes and wide plateaus. Depending on the season and route, you may encounter nomadic herders. Your guide will explain traditional pastoral life and the importance of water in this fragile landscape. Finish with dinner under the open sky.
Sustainable experience: Learn about water scarcity and help protect fragile mountain ecosystems.
Overnight: Mountain camp.
Day 4 · Strength, Stillness and Connection
Bab n’Ali: The Heart of the Saghro
Morning yoga and mindful breathing precede a trek through rock formations and valleys towards the iconic twin towers of Bab n’Ali. Arrive at camp for restorative yoga or guided meditation. Share dinner with the team and, where arranged, discover Aït Atta traditions.
Sustainable experience: Respect local customs; seek permission before photographing people and fairly compensate agreed community encounters.
Overnight: Camp near Bab n’Ali, subject to the final route.
Day 5 · Human Connection and Gratitude
Mountain Valleys and Nomadic Heritage
Following yoga and breakfast, trek through rocky passages, valleys and small settlements. Where pre-arranged, share tea with a local family or nomadic hosts and learn about traditional life. Leave the afternoon for a slower walk or personal reflection, followed by a final mountain evening.
Sustainable experience: Pay local hosts fairly for their hospitality and knowledge; respect their privacy and routines.
Overnight: Traditional old Berber kasbah.
Day 6 · Returning with New Perspectives
Nkoub to Marrakech
Begin with a final meditation or gentle stretch in Nkoub, a traditional oasis village known for historic kasbahs. Return to Marrakech via the Draa Valley, Ouarzazate and the High Atlas, arriving in the evening. Carry home a deeper appreciation for the landscapes, traditions and people of southern Morocco.
Sustainable experience: Leave no trace and carry the principles of mindful, respectful travel home.
Overnight: Tour ends in Marrakech.
