Highlights

The Ouzoud Falls plunge 110 metres through layers of ochre and red rock — the highest waterfall in North Africa and a genuinely spectacular sight.

Swim in the natural turquoise pools at the base of the falls — cool, refreshing and surrounded by mist and oleander.

Spot wild Barbary macaques in the olive and carob trees along the gorge trail — Morocco's only native primate.

A traditional lunch on a terrace directly overlooking the cascade — tagine, salads and mint tea with the falls in full view.

Optional boat ride to the base of the falls for a close-up view of the cascade from the water.

The Experience

More than just the destinations

Every itinerary is carefully curated to balance Morocco's most unforgettable landscapes, culture, and experiences — whilst still allowing the flexibility to customise the journey around your own pace, interests, and travel style.

Full Day

Marrakech to the Ouzoud Waterfalls

Depart Marrakech and drive north-east through the olive groves and villages of the Middle Atlas foothills — arriving at the Ouzoud Waterfalls after approximately three hours. The falls are heard before they're seen — a distant roar and rising mist through the trees. At 110 metres, they are the highest in North Africa: a triple cascade of white water tumbling through ochre and red rock into a swirling emerald pool below. Follow the gorge trail through olive groves and oleander, spotting Barbary macaques in the trees. Take an optional boat ride to the base, swim in the cool natural pools, and capture photographs from multiple viewpoints. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch on a terrace overlooking the falls before the drive back to Marrakech.
