Route

Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen → Fes → Merzouga → Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Marrakech

Duration

15 Days

Experience a 15-day private Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech through Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Fes, the Middle Atlas, Merzouga Desert, Todgha Gorge, Dades Valley, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet. Imperial cities, blue medina streets and golden dunes woven into one unhurried journey — Morocco experienced without compromise.

We believe the best journeys feel personal — with the flexibility to tailor everything from activities and accommodation to pacing and the route itself.

Highlights

Begin with a guided city tour of Casablanca before overnighting in Rabat — Morocco's elegant capital on the Atlantic coast.

Two nights in Chefchaouen — the Blue City of the Rif Mountains — with a guided city tour and a full free day to explore at your own pace.

The Roman ruins of Volubilis on the route from Chefchaouen to Fes, followed by a full guided day in Fes el-Bali — the tanneries, Al-Qaraouine University and the ancient souks.

Cross the Middle Atlas through Ifrane and the cedar forests — pause for Barbary macaques among the ancient trees — before overnighting in Midelt and descending the Ziz Valley toward the Sahara.

Two nights connected to the Sahara experience: a sunset camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes, a luxury desert camp, a nomad lifestyle encounter, Berber pizza lunch and a full day immersed in desert life.

From Todgha Gorge through the Dades Valley and Rose Valley to Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou, then crossing the High Atlas to Marrakech — where a relaxed hammam day, medina walk and historical city tour complete the journey.

The Experience

More than just the destinations

Every itinerary is carefully curated to balance Morocco's most unforgettable landscapes, culture, and experiences — whilst still allowing the flexibility to customise the journey around your own pace, interests, and travel style.

Day 1

Casablanca City Tour and Rabat

Arrive in Casablanca and meet your private driver-guide. Begin with a guided city tour — the Hassan II Mosque rising over the Atlantic, the Habous quarter and the Art Deco heart of the city. Continue north to Rabat, Morocco's capital, and check into your riad in the ancient medina. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Rabat to Chefchaouen

Explore Rabat in the morning — the Hassan Tower, Kasbah Oudaya and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V — before heading north through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Arrive by early afternoon, settle into your riad and begin discovering the blue city at your own pace.

Day 3

A Guided Tour and Free Day in Chefchaouen

Begin with a guided city tour of Chefchaouen — the kasbah museum, Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the Grand Mosque and the Ras Elma river. The rest of the day is yours: walk the blue-and-white streets, browse the artisan shops, or take an optional walk to the Spanish Mosque for a panoramic view over the medina. Overnight in your riad.

Day 4

Volubilis and Onward to Fes

Depart through the Rif foothills and stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis — mosaic floors, triumphal arches and the ghost of a city that once governed this corner of the empire. Continue southeast to Fes, arriving by late afternoon. Check into your riad and take an evening stroll through the medina. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5

A Full Day in Fes el-Bali

A full day in Fes el-Bali with your private guide. Begin at the Royal Palace, then the Jewish Mellah and the Al-Qaraouine University. Walk through the leather tanneries and the ceramics quarter, ending with a panoramic view over the entire medina at sunset. Overnight in your riad.

Day 6

Through the Middle Atlas to Midelt

Head south through Ifrane — Morocco's alpine-style mountain town — and into the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Pause among the ancient cedars to photograph the Barbary macaques that live in the high forest. Continue east to Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas ranges. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7

The Ziz Valley and the Erg Chebbi Desert

Drive south through the dramatic Ziz Valley — a gorge of palm groves and fortified ksour descending toward the Sahara. Arrive at Merzouga and the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in time for a sunset camel ride into the desert. Luxury Berber camp: traditional dinner, live music and an extraordinary night sky.

Day 8

A Full Day in the Sahara Desert

A full day immersed in desert life. After a pre-dawn dune climb and Sahara sunrise, spend the morning with a nomad lifestyle experience — tea in a traditional desert dwelling, insight into daily life on the edge of the erg. Share a Berber pizza lunch in the open air, then return to your luxury camp for an afternoon at leisure before dinner under the stars.

Day 9

Todgha Gorge and the Dades Valley

Ride back from camp after breakfast and begin the journey west to the Todgha Gorge — a canyon of sheer limestone cliffs rising on either side. Walk the gorge in the afternoon, then continue to the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight among the valley's sculpted red cliffs.

Day 10

Rose Valley and Ouarzazate

Travel through the Dades Valley's most dramatic scenery, then continue to the Rose Valley — Morocco's fragrant heartland, where damask roses bloom each spring across the high plains. Arrive in Ouarzazate, the gateway to the southern kasbahs, by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Day 11

Ait Ben Haddou, Telouet and Across the Atlas to Marrakech

Visit the UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — walk its clay alleys and climb to the hilltop granary. Continue via the village of Telouet and the scenic Ounila Valley, then cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Arrive in Marrakech by evening. Overnight in your riad.

Day 12

A Relaxed Day in Marrakech

A day at leisure in the Red City. Choose your pace: a traditional hammam and massage, a restful afternoon in your riad, or an optional Moroccan cooking class with a local family — learning to prepare tagine, couscous and mint tea from scratch. Dinner and overnight.

Day 13

Marrakech Medina Walking Tour

A guided walking tour of Marrakech's legendary medina. Explore the labyrinthine souks — spices, leather, metalwork, carpets — with your guide, then continue to the Koutoubia Mosque, the Djemaa el-Fna and the historic heart of the Red City. Overnight in your riad.

Day 14

Marrakech Historical Sites

A full guided day among Marrakech's great monuments: the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Gardens, Ben Youssef Madrasa and the city's finest palaces and gardens. Afternoon at leisure in the medina before a final evening in Marrakech.
