We hired Ahmed to take us on a 10 day journey through Southern Morocco. He designed a beautiful, personalized itinerary for us that included little known villages and breathtaking landscapes. He even arranged an unforgettable birthday surprise for my friend while we were staying overnight in the Sahara Desert. He is very knowledgeable and delivered a deeply authentic experience.
Ahmed is friendly, warm and he has a highly contagious laugh….hence we nicknamed him the Laughing Berber. He's also an excellent driver and his luxury van had cold AC (much needed in June!)
We were two females traveling together and at no point did we ever feel unsafe.
All of Ahmed's food/restaurant recommendations were wonderful, as were the accommodations included in his itinerary.

From the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou to the dramatic Todra Gorge and the vast Sahara dunes of Merzouga, the journey was perfectly paced. What surprised me most was the warmth and openness of the Berber people we met along the way — their hospitality felt completely authentic, not touristic.

Ahmed and Mustafa were delightful to be with. Both had a wonderful energy and made us fall in love with Morocco again! Before we met them we weren't happy at all. But they both showed us the beautiful way of Berber/Amazigh life and showed us great hospitality. Even though it was Ramadan, both were still in good energy and very kind to us!
We as a family of 8 people can be quite a challenge to please but they nailed it, always making sure we were happy. The kids talked to Ahmed a lot about Berber culture during our 3 days trip with them. Even though we had a little sandstorm, Ahmed and Mustafa still managed to work around it to make it a nice experience!
Beautiful insider countryside spots and the camp at the desert were a delight too. The only thing we as picky eaters was that the food was okay sometimes, but that was really the only thing! Thank you so much you two for making this trip unforgettable!

The tour is a great way to see diverse landscapes in this part of Morocco. You leave the crowded city and head up into the high Atlas Mountains with amazing views and then drive through villages and a few small cities through the low Atlas Mountains and eventually you end up in the Sahara. The camel ride in the desert at sunset and the tented camp are great experiences. The rest of the stops are also amazing.
The hotels were all great and the best part is that the guide Ahmed takes care of everything and always makes sure that you are doing what you want to do. He doesn't just dump you off at a site you don't really want to see. He tells you what there is to see and lets you decide if you want to stop and how long you want to stay. He is flexible and he seems to know someone in every area which allows for a chance to see things or visit sites that are not listed in the tour description.
We went to a home/cooperative to see how rugs are made and given the option to buy one but were not pressured at all to make a purchase. Ahmed took care of us at every stop and made everything easy. He checked in with us at every stay to make sure things met our needs and expectations. He is a great guide and a good person. I wish every guide was as good as him. He is easy going and works hard to make sure everything is perfect. I feel very fortunate to have chosen him for our tour.
We had the opportunity to talk to other tourists at the desert camp and their guides had not shared a lot of the things Ahmed had shared with us. Ahmed is a Berber and has so much knowledge of the area and he shares it with his guests. It really adds to the experience.
